The City of Sawtelle was annexed by the City of Los Angeles as the Sawtelle annex. Arguably, the Sawtelle area has had nothing to gain from this annexation. :-\

Our Neighborhood was Redlined as a "Hazardous" area by the Banks in the 1930s and 1940s.
